Dear AOPC,
Our ticket sales for the PhotoExpo are exploding lately. This might be the first Bedford event that actually sells out… which is awesome! Thank you very much for spreading the word. If any AOPC members would like to attend, I wouldn’t wait too much longer. I now have a coupon code set up on our website that gives you the $25 discount. “PHOTOCLUB”. Or you can always contact me directly. Money a little tight? If you would like to reserve your spot, and pay closer to the event time… just give me call!
I have heard some great things about Jim DiVitale which is featured on Scott Kelby’s website www.kelbytraining.com. Here is more information:
The Complete Digital Photography Process
With Jim DiVitale
Digital Photography is about quality control in your image making. Photographers all have the same goal in digital photography, to create beautiful images with precision tonal control, and simplify the production workflow with predictable and repeatable results. In this program, Jim will demonstrate problem-solving techniques using digital capture and Photoshop to streamline both the creative and production of the digital imaging workflow to improve quality and save time. Topics will includecalibration and custom profiling of the camera, monitor and printer to achieve a closed loupe of controlled color management, and a start to finish approach to digital photography using several photographic elements to create multi-image photographs for commercial photo-illustrations.

Capture Arkansas – PhotoExpo Photo Contest
You heard it here first! Starting July 5th, 2013, we are kicking off a photo contest on Capture Arkansas in conjunction with the PhotoExpo. The way I understand it is.. there are no rules or categories… However, I would wait until July 5th to read the information to be sure. There will be normal voting on the site and then the Top 10 images will be printed as gallery wraps and displayed on aisles at the PhotoExpo! We will be recruiting some of the speakers and manufacturer reps to judge the final 10 images.. There will be prizes!
Thank you!
John
